JUST FOR TEENS
Making good decisions begins with being well informed. We all want healthy relationships and a healthy future. This page is designed to give you medically accurate information that will empower you to make the healthiest choices for you and your future.
Some teens have the impression they cannot get a sexually transmitted infection (STI) after having sex only one time with one person. Take a look at the chart to see if that is true or not.
When you have sex with someone, it’s like you are having sex with everyone they had sex with for the past 10 years. Its absolutely possible to become infected with an STI after one sexual encounter. If you have been sexually active, please get tested.
You can take an STD Risk Assessment under the STI/STD tab of this website.
